Canada’s Walk of Fame today announced the launch of the Peter Soumalias Unsung Hero Honour – a new initiative that annually recognizes a special Canadian whose outstanding work in the arts, culture or sports positively impacts their community and inspires the next generation.
Canada’s Walk of Fame today announced that John Cairns of Trenton, Ontario is the Recipient of this year’s Peter Soumalias Unsung Hero Honour. Chosen by the Canada’s Walk of Fame Board of Directors, John will attend the 2016 Canada’s Walk of Fame Celebration Events on Thursday, October 6, where he will be recognized for his positive outlook and for inspiring those around him to never give up.
“Canada’s Walk of Fame Festival is a unique fall performing arts event in Toronto,” said Melanie Hurley, Chief Executive Officer of Canada’s Walk of Fame. “This year, we are expanding the Festival to include a music showcase at the legendary Horseshoe Tavern along with our free lineup at Yonge-Dundas Square and our iconic Massey Hall series. It’s a celebration of the arts and there will be something for everyone.”
