CANADA’S WALK OF FAME EXPANDS ITS FOOTPRINT WITH INAUGURAL HOMETOWN STAR UNVEILING IN VANCOUVER HONOURING RENOWNED ENVIRONMENTALIST DAVID SUZUKI

Canada’s Walk of Fame will honour 2017 Inductee David Suzuki with a permanent star in his hometown of Vancouver on March 23rd, marking the organization’s first event outside of Ontario in its 20-year history. The Hometown Star program is a new initiative beginning this year, providing Inductees with an additional opportunity to celebrate their induction in their hometown with a plaque mounted at a special location of their choice.

Canada’s Walk of Fame announces the 2017 Inductees who represent the organization’s five pillars of recognition: Sports and Athletics, Philanthropy and Humanities, Arts and Entertainment, Business and Entrepreneurship, and Science and Technology. The Inductees will be honoured at the Beyond Famous Gala on November 15 at the Liberty Grand in Toronto.
